Salon de Sushi review

Being busy, I often order food delivery. To be honest, there aren't many good food that could be delivered to your door step. Hence, I am really glad that I found Salon de Sushi.

Salon de Sushi is a modern Japanese restaurant located in South Melbourne which also provides home delivery services. I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance when I was looking at various restaurants that offer food delivery on Eatnow. The first thing that came to my mind about sushi delivery was the freshness of the sushi as they contain raw fish. Are they able to maintain the freshness of the sushi during the delivery? I suppose if they are professional enough, they should know how to handle it. So I gave it a try.

I was delighted when I first received the food. Look at the packaging! It reminds me of those beautiful bento boxes one could get in Japan. Japan has the most advanced packaging culture thanks to their demanding consumers who are obsessed with the presentation of the food. Why can't we learn from them? I always wish that the food here are packed slightly nicer than just in a doggy bag.

Well, at least Salon de Sushi is making a difference. Other than the classy looking box, they also provide a pair of chopsticks, a napkin, a disposable saucer and a cute little soya sauce bottle (not the usual fish shape soya sauce you get from other sushi shops). How thoughtful of them!

Okay enough of the outlook, let's take a look at the contents in the box. TADA...the sushi were arranged so beautifully accompanied by some salad veggie, olive, gari(pickled ginger) and wasabi. How about the taste? Needless to say, the sushi were as good as it looked and most importantly - fresh!

I was so amazed that sushi delivery can be this awesome. As a consumer, I don't mind to pay a bit more for good and quality food. To date, I have lost count on how many times I had ordered home delivery from Salon de Sushi. Perhaps I should make a trip to the restaurant one day.
